Bleachers Forever
Bleachers kicked off their "BLEACHERS FOREVER TOUR" - Night one of two in Chicago.
Bleachers announced their world tour earlier this year, and as fast as the announcement came, tickets sold faster. The first Chicago date almost sold out instantly. Originally scheduled for just June 5th, we got a lucky surprise in the form of an additional night on the 7th as well. 2 nights of Bleachers at Chicago’s best venue, The Salt Shed. What more could you ask for?

We kicked off the evening with Momo Boyd. The Michigan-born singer set the tone for the night with her soulful performance. Her voice would put you in a trance with how powerful, and emotional, each one of her songs hit you.

The crowd at The Salt Shed grew larger as the night progressed. As I was getting myself getting ready for Bleachers, people in the front barricades were eager, excited, and overflowing with emotions - emotions that I can only describe in limited words. It was clear to see that this band held an immense significance for many of the fans. Jack Antonoff not only brought songs to Chicago, but he also created unforgettable experiences.

As the night went on, I was completely impressed by how much the crowd resonated with the performance. Each song seemed to have an impressive majority of the crowd singing along to Jack’s vocals. Every word, every chance he got, he would let Chicago sing.. and man, Chicago can sing.

For this being my first ever Bleachers concert, and experience, I will say I was utterly impressed. I enjoy going to concerts blind - with little to no knowledge of the band - because it drives curiosity, and I get more enjoyment out of listening and taking in the energy of the crowd. This show had it all: the feel good vibe, the energy, and the atmosphere. What a way to kick off a tour, and of course, you can never go wrong with a Chicago kick-off.
