El Tri rocks n' rolls through the House of Blues Anaheim
On Friday August 28, 2026, El Tri made a stop in Anaheim's own House of Blues at the Anaheim Gardenwalk. Stepping into the venue for the first time, I was able to see, firsthand, what the band had posted earlier in the day - a beautiful (and chilled) venue. I had no idea what to expect, but I just knew that it was going to be fun and loud.. from both the band and the crowd. It's always good to be surrounded by energetic crowds. When they are going crazy saying some outlandish things, you know that the artist is going to haggle the crowd even more.
El Tri is not someone that I actually grew up with - they weren't a household name for me. It actually wasn't until I started hanging out with my best friend that I began to see this name pop up some more. When listening to the band, a few things always stood out, Alex Lora's voice, the band's use of a rock n' roll melodies, and because of those, this feeling that the band would put on this amazing live show. This (last) Friday - as of writing this - I was able to experience all of those in person and can say for certain that they do, in fact, put on a high energy performance. That shouldn't surprising in the least, though, since they have been doing this for over four decades (WOW!). I think the part that was most surprising was that they are still able to perform with such gusto - and for as long as they played. It was also a great experience having them lead us into the Mexican National Anthem.
El Tri is, without a doubt, a legendary rock n roll band. They bring crowds together of all different generations, proving that they are able to stick through and remain relevant with the times and changes - completely selling out these beautiful venues along the way. Speaking of venue(s) and El Tri, it was great to hear singing throughout the venue, but it the funniest part is that as you get further back, you have more people, drinking more heavily, and saying more bad words.
