Architects had Milwaukee Seeing Red at the legendary Rave on Wednesday May 14th

On Wednesday, May 14th, Architects and Holywater took over The Rave/Eagles Club for a night that honestly felt special from the second I walked in. This was only my second time being at the venue, and you could immediately feel the energy in the room before the first band even touched the stage.

Ever since this tour got announced, I knew I had to be there. I’ve seen Architects three different times before at festivals as a fan, but seeing them on their own headline tour felt completely different going into it. I wanted to see what they could really bring with a full set and their own production behind them. They absolutely delivered.

Holywater opened the evening with a performance that immediately grabbed the room’s attention. For an opening band, they came out with exactly the kind of energy you want to start a night like this. Every breakdown hit hard, and the crowd responded instantly, screaming lyrics back so loud it probably could’ve been heard outside the venue.

This was my first time ever listening to Holywater, and I can honestly say walking out of The Rave/Eagles Club that night, they definitely gained a new fan. Those guys absolutely threw down.

What really stood out to me was the balance in their set. One moment they were delivering crushing breakdowns, and the next they shifted into more emotional, almost tear-shedding songs without losing the crowd’s attention for a second. Vocalist Patrick Middelthon brought a ton of emotion into the performance, especially with some of the high notes he was hitting throughout the set. You could feel the whole room locked in. Needless to say, I walked away seriously impressed.

When Architects finally took the stage, the entire venue erupted. From the first note, the energy inside the room became almost overwhelming in the best way possible. The crowd screamed every lyric back with complete intensity. You know it’s going to be a killer show when the first song already has crowd surfers flying nonstop toward the barricade.

Architects has been one of those bucket list bands I’ve wanted to cover for a while now. Seeing how this band performs at festivals, I knew I was in for a treat that night. With as much energy as they bring to festival crowds, they brought that exact same intensity to The Rave/Eagles Club on Wednesday night, proving why they are still one of the best bands doing it today.

What stood out most to me was how immersive the entire experience felt. The lights, sound, and atmosphere inside The Rave amplified every moment, making each song and note feel larger than life. Walking out after the final song, exhausted and still hearing the echoes of the crowd, it was impossible not to feel like I had witnessed something special - achieving another memory I’ll soon never forget.
