The Nevermind The Schubas Tavern The Ally Nicholas!

Coming to Scubas Tavern in Chicago for PART II of her tour is the one and only Ally Nicholas, joined by Shyeye and Sir Echo! It was an honor to being able to catch her show here, especially after seeing them open for Bilmuri a few years ago! They have come so far in their music I couldn't be more excited for them! They still have more to show us and I am here for it! Also a huge shoutout to these amazing women bands and representing just how badass we can be!

Unfortunately, I missed Sir Echo but I did catch Shyeye and I am obsessed! I don't know why but she reminded me of Paramore but with a twist of dream pop and metal. I loved her energy and the guitar riffs were so heavy but not intense. It was definitely a set I could enjoy without crazy head bopping (even though I do love to do it sometimes I just wanna take in the music).

Now for Ally Nicholas it was so great to see them again and having the opportunity to meet Ally herself. I WISH I was able to get a photo with her but of course my shyness got the best of me. I WILL NEXT TIME I PROMISE! She was the sweetest and did an amazing show! She played all her top favorites and some new ones as well! Ally has such a nice vocal range especially when also playing guitar while doing so! This was their last show of the tour and they did not hold back. They gave it their all and I couldn't have asked for a better ending. So bittersweet though I hope she comes back soon! Shoutout to everyone involved, the openers, the production team and the managers/the ones behind setting up this whole tour. Your work does not go unnoticed and I could tell how hard you worked to make sure this was a success. Keep up the amazing music and writing and I hope to see you next tour!
