Twenty One Pilots Announce Largest Headline Show Ever in Hometown of Columbus, Ohio

Twenty One Pilots announced their largest headline show in their career in their hometown of Columbus Ohio at the Ohio Stadium last week on Friday, May 15th. The award winning (GRAMMYS, Billboard, MTV, NRJ, iHeartRadio, etc) duo consisting of Tyler Joseph, and Josh Dun stated in an interview with local radio station, 107.3 Alternative Cleveland, that the set would be one of their longest, reaching about three hours long. Some fans are speculating that this will be similar to Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour” with songs from all over their discography. After a worldwide run of headlining festivals, the show will take place later this year on October 17th.

For those who somehow don't know Twenty One Pilots, you might be familiar with some of their hit songs / albums. Twenty One Pilots has three songs that peaked in the top 10 on Billboard for over 39 weeks each (Stressed Out, Ride, Heathens). They also were number one on Billboard's top 100 artists for over 5 weeks straight. They've had songs such as "Heathens" that appeared in hit movies such as "Suicide Squad" and "The Line" that appeared in Netflix show, "Arcane." Their most recent album, "Breach" (One of my personal favorites) concludes the decade long story that they have been telling surrounding the city of Dema and Trench. While the story is too long to tell, it resonates heavily with hard-core fans all around the world. The story started with hit 2015 album "Blurryface" but leaned more into the storytelling with 2018 album "Trench" and continued with "Scaled and Icy" (2021), "Clancy" (2024), and finally "Breach" (2025).

Indie / Alternative rock band, Death Cab for Cutie is set to open this massive show, which is one of the Tyler and Josh's favorite band's according to an interview awhile back. Death Cab for Cutie has hit songs such as "I Will Follow You Into the Dark" and "Soul Meets Body" which both came out in 2005. The Alternative band does have a new album coming this summer on June 5th, named "I Built You A Tower" which fans are speculating will be played at this show.

Presale for this mega show occurred on Tuesday, May 19th and sold out instantly. While presale's hold a certain amount of tickets for general on sale day (Friday, May 22nd) there were over 55 thousand people in the queue! If you plan on getting tickets this week, be quick and ready as this will be one of the most historical concerts for the award winning duo, Twenty One Pilots.
