Slaughter To Prevail Brought Chaos to Chicago
On April 20th Slaughter to prevail Brought their US tour to Chicago, with heavy hitters Attila and Whitechapel.

Before the headliner even stepped on stage, the room was already pushed to its limit. From the moment doors opened, you could feel the weight of what was about to happen. Shoulder to shoulder, wall to wall, Chicago packed in tight, ready for impact.
Attila came out swinging and didn’t waste a second getting the room moving. It got chaotic quick, pits opening up within minutes and bodies already flying like it was their set to close the night. The energy was there early and it didn’t take much for Chicago to buy in.
By the time Whitechapel hit, everything stepped up. The sound got heavier, darker, and way more controlled, but it hit just as hard. You could feel the shift instantly. The crowd wasn’t just warming up anymore, they were locked in. This felt bigger than just another stop on the tour.

From the first hit, the floor broke open. Pits everywhere, crowd surfers nonstop, security already working overtime within the first minute. It didn’t matter where you were standing, you felt it immediately.
The second Alex Terrible stepped out, the room was his. No wasted movement, no filler. Every cue, every word, the crowd followed without hesitation. His vocals live hit even heavier than expected, deep, aggressive, and constant. It didn’t let up for a second.
What stood out most was how tight everything felt. Every breakdown landed exactly where it needed to. You could feel the pause right before each drop, that split second where the entire room held, and then it hit and everything moved at once. It wasn’t just chaos, it was controlled, and Chicago matched it every time.

Walking out of this one, it’s hard not to just call it what it was. An insane show from start to finish. Seeing Slaughter To Prevail for a second time somehow hit just as hard, if not harder.
Alex Terrible’s vocals alone are something you have to experience live to fully understand. It’s one thing hearing it through speakers, but being in that room while it’s happening is completely different.
If you ever get the chance to catch them live, take it. No hesitation.
