Lorna Shore Shakes Up The Sylvee
On April 19th, Lorna Shore made a stop at The Sylvee in Madison, bringing along Paleface Swiss and Signs of The Swarm, an insane "Deathcore" tour. I wasn't too familiar with Lorna Shore but was told by many I need to experience it, so what the heck! I was so excited to make my way back to The Sylvee, quickly becoming one of my favorite smaller venues, ready for the chaos, I didn't know what to expect but was ready for it.

When it was time, the light's dimmed, fans pushed their way closer to the barricade and then the curtain dropped. It was time. It was time for the floor to shake, the fans to scream, time for me to see what all the hype was about. They started playing "Oblivion", and again, I didn't know what was coming next. Then, there it was..... Will Ramos's scream. Now I know what everyone was talking about, now I'm drawn in.

There are no words to describe Will's voice, what he can do with his growls and screams is something I have never heard before. You can almost feel his voice vibrating through your body. His energy while belting out every word is unmatched. I was hooked by the second song.

I was excited to join the crowd and take in the rest of the show. The mosh pit was wild, crowd surfers everywhere, the floor shaking all night, and I was apart of it. I get it now, Lorna Shore brought a different kind of energy to Madison. I don't know if it's because it was my first "Deathcore" show but the experience was nothing like I've seen, and I've been to a lot of metal shows. They are definitely part of my personal playlist now and ready for their next visit.
