Jinjer Stops at the Sylvee During Their "Duel" Tour
The Sylvee, Madison, hosts another deathcore band on July 14th and I needed to be there. Jinjer has been around since about 2012 when they dropped their first EP but I didn't start really hearing about them until recently. When I was at the Sylvee for my last show I saw they were making a stop so I knew I wanted to see them.
They brought along with them another metalcore band, Entheos. Another band I had never heard of but heard they're just as great. The band started to play and Chaney came out with her deep vocals, I was definitely blown away by her talent! They put on a great show, the crowd loved them. Great choice for a supporting band and I am now a big fan. I even ran to their booth after the show to meet them!

Entheos finished their set and the crowd started to fill in, fans slowly pushing their way towards the barricade. Everyone was ready for Jijner! I was excited to experience another deathcore band this year, I'm new to the genre so it's exciting to be introduced to these bands for the first time, and live. Tatiana came out looking like a Goddess Warrior, beautiful and ready to wow the audience. They started with "Duel", and I heard the voice.... I could not believe how amazing she can scream and how effortlessly it comes for her. I was mesmerized watching her the whole time.

The mixture of screaming and singing with the heaviness of the drums had the whole place jumping. A fun mosh pit broke out and was full of a younger crowd that was having the time of their life, dancing together in the pit like nothing else mattered. Up next was "Green Serpent" off their latest album, another great one that I and the crowd loved. Tatiana was all over the stage, making sure to get the crowd excited and moving, her smiles and glances towards the crowd kept everyone drawn in. If you haven't had the chance to see Jinjer and are a fan of heavier metal, go see them!
