Baby Baby... Sports, You Are the Right One

Baby Baby... Sports, You Are the Right One

You read that right. On Sunday, April 19, 2026, Sports came through Chicago's Lincoln Hall - easily selling out their show. The venue was so packed that you just had to choose a spot to hunker down and hope for the best. Next time, they're going to need a much bigger venue. That said, this indie-pop / electro-pop duo sure knows how to put on a wonderful show. Coupled with the fog and lighting, their dreamy sound makes time feel like nothing more than a concept.

This is always a much needed change of pace from the 'electric' lives that we usually live in. When you're tired, Sports' music is like that calm place you are able to lay your head.. they're soothing for the soul, which is like a perfect example of what a Sunday should feel like.

Sports [live] is all about having a great time. It's all about grabbing your partner or closest friend and dancing like no one is watching.. singing like you're the one performing on stage.. or simply enjoying life like there's no other cares in the world. For those of us solo adventurers, it's like putting on some headphones - with your favorite drink - and sitting in a meadow of flowers with a cool breeze on a beautiful summer day.. maybe with a book so captivating that you're the main character of the story.

In short, Sports isn't just a band - they're a way of life. And, although their name is Sports, unlike sporting events, there's nothing high adrenaline about their music. They may not be in a stadium [yet], but I can see them taking over a stadium for a night and sharing their cool, calming music (and selves).

Thank you to the band and their team for having [me]! It was such a great experience! Go catch these guys live; they're still on the road, in the US, until the end of May (closing out in TX). They do hit the road again in July, but they'll be on the rest of their world tour - where it'll kick off in Australia and end in Europe (in mid-November).
