The Even More Outta Control Nonpoint at the Bottom Lounge!
We welcome Nonpoint to Chicago with special guests, Mirage Gods, Soil, and Sumo Cyco! Now I know they have been around for YEARS and unfortunately, during all my time on this earth, I just discovered them now. It seems this year is bringing in new artists for me! Nevertheless, I had such an amazing time and added more to my playlist!
Mirage Gods started off this insane lineup and it was quite insane indeed. So just as a side note, the stage was EXTREMELY small for them, not even the singer had room to just do his thing. He stayed in the pit with us, which was both sick and stressful as fuck for me. I hope I didn't get in his way too much, although, I did get some fun ass shots. Do it for the bit, I guess. He took it like a champ and went all in by taking the opportunity to interact with his fans alot more and I loved it! Everything went perfectly and they sounded awesome! What more could you ask for?!

Next up is Sumo Cyco! I always appreciate a female singer/screamer just in admiration for the various talents they have with being able to do so much with their voice. I loved their rich, heavy vibe, it got me headbanging most of the night. The singer really got the crowd moving, as she was interacting with fans for most of the set. She even did a pretty cool number where everyone gets as low as they can, and the build up from the song got everyone jumping at the height of it. It was such a sight to behold!

Next up would be Soil! Wow they definitely had a similar vibe to Nonpoint as far as metal goes, but they also gave me a hint of Johnny Cash. It's the kind of metal thats very heavy, a low vocals. They dominate the hard rock genre, I loved the experience! The singer looked cool as fuck though, with his retro microphone and just an overall biker vibe. I highly recommend if you are a fan of nostalgic nu-metal!

Last but not least, we got Nonpoint! They had a badass start, I loved the music as soon as it started. It's one of those where you can feel every beat and soul. It is very different from what I'm used to, but I can tell how much passion they have. I can tell just by the fans alone how much of an impact they have. I am certainly grateful to experience this as well as being able to photograph them!
