Taking Back Sunday Makes Damn Sure to Put on A Good Show
Taking Back Sunday is a name that almost everyone should know by now. With massive hits such as "MakeDamnSure" and "Cute Without the 'E'", Taking Back Sunday have risen to stardom in the emo and alternative scene. When their hit album "Louder Now" came out in 2006, the whiney vocals with the powerful guitar chords changed how people viewed emo music. People were shocked by the pure emotion that was put into the music and the live shows. A lot of people also know Taking Back Sunday for said live shows. Frontman, Adam Lazzara, is known for moving around on stage with haste and power. He is known to jump around and swing the microphone around the whole room. (As seen in photo below)

2026 has been a really big year for the band. Not only is it the 20th anniversary for their album "Louder Now", they are still coming down from the success of their latest album, "152". This tour was a big one for fans all around the world. Taking Back Sunday was going on tour with another band that rose up in the scene at the same time, Bayside. Bayside's self titled album that came out in 2005 is full of hits such as "Devotion and Desire", "Blame It On Bad Luck", and "Montauk".

This massive tour with 2 massive emo bands was full of popular songs but was also full of hidden gems. Taking Back Sunday played songs like "Liar", "You're So Last Summer", "Flicker, Fade", "S'Old" and more. I was having a conversation with one of the security guards at the show and he had told me that the show was sold out and he had gotten called in for work because of how packed the theater was. As somebody who goes to the Capitol Theater in Davenport, IA a lot, this was probably the fullest I have ever seen it. From the pit to the balcony, there were people screaming lyrics at the top of their lungs and dancing like there was nobody else in the room.

As somebody who has been a big fan of Taking Back Sunday my whole life, this show didn't disappoint and I would highly recommend anybody to see these 2 bands any chance you have, even if you don't know a single word.
