Kinda Hard at the Aragon Ballroom!

Kinda Hard at the Aragon Ballroom!

Bilmuri truly came hard for one of the most anticipated headline tour (at least for me) with Gang and the Home Team. For those who don't know, Bilmuri has been one of my long time favorite band since it began. Even when Johnny started The March Ahead and trying to find himself through music. While I did not have the chance to fulfill my life long dream of photographing them, it was such an honor to experience them live during this tour (yes, even if I saw them twice before). But lets get into the bangers of openers they had featured!

Gang was absolutely hilarious and sick! With neon green ski masks and the Tony Hawk skateboarding game featured on their small TV (at least I think it was), they started off in such a nostalgic way and definitely got my attention. Hitting all the right notes, screams and a funny I-broke-my-arm-trying-to-do-a-sick-ass-jump-kick-move-mom bit. Just in case you were wondering, yes the singer actually came out with a full neck brace and arm sling. What a way to commit to the bit.

Next up another favorite of mine, The Home Team! WOW OH WOW the singer sounds exactly as he does live as his streamed songs. His vocals are certainly unique as well as their style. Its bouncy with a hint of metal and I am here for it! All the members were poppin and dancing just having an absolute ball of a time! Even one of the guitarists strap kept poppin off from all the excitement, it definitely couldn't handle the vibe. I knew pretty much all of the songs and the set had such mesmorizing lighting. They even had a disco ball to top off the end of it! SUCH A FUN TIME! Remember folks, don't be afraid to get loud;)

Alrighty now for me to talk about the one the only BILMURI! Where do I begin, I honestly blacked out from excitement and admiration for most of it so I will talk about the highlights. The very start had the lovely Gabi Rose playing the fucking Halo opening song on saxophone! That itched the gamer girl in me. Then it went HARD with Twice on ultra mode. Did I sing every song with every fiber of my being? Yes. Did I cry? A little. Reese killed the guitar solos and Gabi was a whimscal sax fairy as always. Of course Johnny was just crankin it every chance he got. My hog was torqued to the max that day. They played some of their new songs on the album, such as Rock Bottom, Back Then, Worst Part of You and Always Let You Down. They sounded fucking amazing live! He even brought out The Home Team for the last song. Overall, I had an amazing time and I hope that one day, I will have the chance to photograph them. In the meantime, I'm gonna be cheering and screaming from the sidelines:) Please go see them if you can you won't regret it. JACKIE APPROVED!
