We Came As Romans Survived Chicago!

We came as romans stopped in Chicago for their "Bad luck" tour, With support from Johnny Booth, Currents and After The Burial.

With Chicago being Chicago, When i arrived to the House of Blues, Johnny booth had already performed, a bit bummed for missing him but in retrospect I'm just happy he's taking on more bigger tours, i hope he does a small headliner soon! i don't wanna miss him then.

After The Burial was the second opener and i went in with excitement as i have heard of their music but never seen them live. The energy they gave us was unmatched, From interacting with photographers and giving us photo ops to interacting with the crowd. After The Burials is an absolute must not miss. I came in only knowing of their music, But left as a fan! Oh and i almost forgot, a few of their songs made my Playlist on the drive back home!

Up next, Currents, for me personally, this was the band i was excited for. i accidentally found their music on the Spotify D.J. while driving. Other than that, they caught my attention instantly, from the clean vocals to the harsh breakdowns, i can see why they're also on this tour. Currents, brings a symphonic touch in their music that is not just sounding heavy and in your face but sounding extravagant and music that deserves to be played in bigger rooms! House of blues acoustics did it justice.

We came as Romans, this show means so much to me as the band was my first ever photo pass. The last time i saw them was for their "Darkbloom" tour. This is where i fell in love with WCAR. The message they sent, the emotional drive they have. This is what got me into their music years ago. What made this show so memorable was the stage presence. Everyone from the band made it known this is as special to them as it is to us. laughing, singing along, to even shaking the front rows hands. They really connected to the Chicago crowd.

A notable moment was when Dave Stephens (lead singer) took a moment and made a tribute to late band member Kyle Pavone. Expressing nobody is alone if we all take care of each other, and how much this right here the opportunity to perform for a full Chicago. How unlikely it all was but is honored to continue to put out their work and still have a loyal following. With one last "Kyle we miss you" and a little moment of silence.

We came as romans as an absolute blast, this was one of the best shows i been to this year to be frank. With it being another opportunity to cover them i absolutely wanted to show up this year and with greater experience and make the best of this opportunity. They closed the night with my favorite song, "Blackhole". this was the first song i head years ago and its never left my playlist. i knew something was coming during this song because i got a glimpse of crew putting confetti into the cannons. Much of a surprise they brought it! it filled the room top to bottom. absolutely killing what i thought was a confetti photo. Everyone in the crowd cheers as this was spectacular.
