The marvelous Elena Rose melts Chicago with her warm embrace

WOW WOW WOW!! The amazingly talented and beautiful Elena Rose tackled Chicago's single-digit (and even negative) temps like it was nothing - filling the always-amazing House of Blues Chicago. Where crowds normally stop coming out due to lower temps, I was in complete disbelief when I arrived at the venue - almost 40 minutes after doors open - and noticed that the line was still around the corner and trickling into the venue. Although it was freezing, people were in high spirits and were being incredibly chatty. By the time I made it in, the entire GA floor was completely full and the back was starting to fill up; as I waited for the performance to begin, I wasn't aware of it yet, but the space behind me was very quickly filling up - and the influx of people never seemed to slow down.

Elena Rose's stage production was everything and then some. From the amazing dress, beautiful wings, and perfect lighting - this was a simple, yet carefully thought out setup. You can tell that she is such a kind and loving person. If you couldn't tell by her setup, you would easily be able to tell by the way she interacts with everyone from the crowd. When she speaks to the crowd, she even acknowledges those that are the way in the back - such as myself. Elena Rose takes her time to really see the people who came to see her. She brought up a lovely-looking couple and gave them a once in a lifetime moment to have all eyes on them - basking in their love and sharing a deeply intimate moment; they danced and shared a kiss on stage. If that wasn't enough, or you still couldn't tell the type of person she was, she came down from the stage to take time to interact with those fans that were probably waiting in the freezing cold for a long time. A good amount of those up front consisted of children. So, once she was done with her song and interaction, she took continued the show of selflessness by inviting those children on stage.

All-in-all, Elena Rose really is something else.. she's passionate, has an amazing personality, and spreads positive vibes and energy through her gentle heart and lovely music. It was such an honor and pleasure to be able to experience this for myself.

I honestly couldn't have pictured a better person to cover as my last artist of the year. Thank you to Elena Rose and her team for allowing me to be there and for being my twentieth show of the year - closing out my year. This show was her final show of this tour, but I cannot wait to see what comes next - and to see her again. May Elena Rose's future tours all perform just as good - or better - as this tour.
