Neon Trees Sinks [Their] Teeth into Chicago
On October 20, 2025, Neon Trees stepped into Chicago's House of Blues and turned the crowd into "Animal(s)" - as Tyler Glenn, frontman of Neon Trees, filled the venue with words and sensations of sexual desire. The band is currently on tour to perform and promote their 2024 album, "Sink Your Teeth," which released September 20, 2024 - as their . This album definitely continues a trend of a more alt-pop/pop-rock like sound, with rock elements, to create a catchy and fun sound that you can easily find yourself dancing and singing to.

The band, which blew up in 2010 with their debut album "Habits," sure knows how to put on a flashy and high-energy show - which is much needed as Chicago has its first 'chilly' week. While their new album is sure to keep you moving, it was also great to hear some of their first songs like "Animal," Everybody Talks," and "Sleeping with a Friend."
By the way, happy birthday to Elaine Bradley (drummer) - whose birthday just passed on Oct. 19th!

It sounds like during the group's tour, there was a slight hiccup, so while Atlas Genius was supposed to join Neon Trees on tour, Twin Shadow (George William Lewis Jr.) is who ended up taking over for the remainder of the dates - starting with this Chicago show. While I had never heard of Twin Shadow before, he definitely put on a great performance. In my opinion, his music embodies the idea of walking through the city in the night time.. one of those aimless walks, when you don't know what to do and you don't know where your head is, but you are trying to figure it all out as you go.
