LYLVC Barely Keeps the Heat Down at WC Club (With an Exclusive Interview Coming Soon!)
LYLVC joined Eva Under Fire and Vent to Atmosphere on the Butcher Babies headliner tour, traveling all over North America! I had the honor of being part of their West Chicago show at the WC Club and even had the opportunity to interview them as well! This will be SRM first interview and I can't think of a better band than LYLVC! It will be posted on this article and/or our socials (@stageriotmedia on Instagram) if you want to check it out (I highly recommend you do!). I will give you a little behind the scenes on how everything went, what we discussed and how I was feeling in that moment. Spoiler alert: this was the best night of my life, I hope to see them again soon!
But first we have to talk about the other bands that were apart of this amazing experience! Vent to Atmosphere started off strong with hardcore metal and head banging heavy sets. The scream in particular was crazy! He absolutely killed it!

Eva Under Fire was glorious and magical! She had an elegant and hardcore quality which I love! She announced a new album coming out (I believe) and performed some of her new stuff which, again, spoiler alert is fucking awesome! Can I just say I adore her outfit and just everything in general. It suits her so well she looks like a badass! But besides the point Eva Under Fire has some bangers which I will gladly show below and worked with some amazing artists. They are definitely up and coming and the whole vibe was electric. She was witty and passionate, you would love her performance!!!

Unfortunately I have no photos of Butcher Babies:( I AM SO SORRY! I got held up from the interview and by the time I was done, their set was over. Again I am so sorry, please accept this Spotify link as a peace offering. They did sound amazing though, I will try to photograph them again the next time they come. Butcher Babies if you're reading this, please allow me to make it up to you and come back to Chicago, I promise I'll make it worth your while. So if you have the opportunity to see them, go and witness the beautifulness in person!
Okay now the moment you all been waiting for...LYLVC! Holy shit I have a lot to say so buckle up, get a snack, get cozy and enjoy this prompt. Let me talk about their set first, one word WOW. I was in awe of their energy, their passion and just overall spirit! They looked like they belonged on stage, like they owned that shit. They started off with Barely Human, which is now my favorite, and fucking killed it! I can tell they wanted to make sure everyone had the best time of their lives and wanted everyone's involvement. You will see in my photos how in the moment they are, how in tone they are with the music and their expressions alone bring so much life. I didn't notice Oscar, the rapper, give me all these cool ass shots when looking into my camera. They turned out so sick! I would love to try again with Alyse as well. Next time girl! The way they sang their songs, it was like they were re-living those moments when they created those songs for the first time. They put a lot of heart and soul into that performance and that was when I knew this interview was going to be something incredible.
We had some small talk before diving into the interview and since they had just finished their set, a lot of emotions and sweat was happening but, in my opinion, I think it relieved some of the tension before the show. I am so glad I was able to talk to them after their set. After feeling out the energy of the room and getting to know them more, it was time for me to shit my pants and be a professional interviewer (or at least try to). Most of the questions were pre-planned but I really wanted to follow my intuition and go based on where the conversation was going. I wanted the interview to feel natural and more like just a group of friends having a fun, deep conversation. Hearing that they also have day jobs on top of dealing with the stress of touring was eye-opening for me. It truly goes to show that it's okay if you are juggling a day job and trying to fulfill your dream at the same time because in the end, it'll be so worth it. When Oscar was talking about his personal experience with mental health, I honestly wanted to give him a hug the whole time. As you'll hear, he was so open and honest with what he was going through and what he thought of doing in that moment. That took courage and strength and I respect him so much for doing that. Oscar, I am so sorry I didn't say this in the moment, but thank you for staying and I know me and so many others are happy you are still here and show us just how amazing you are ❤️. It inspired me to open up a little about myself just to show not just Alyse and Oscar, but everyone listening that we are all worthy and offer so much to the world. I know it was supposed to be more on their life, but you guys should know me a little more and not just what I do. We have so much potential and drive to give this life everything we got; let this be a permanent reminder that we can be anything in this life, you just need to believe in yourself and chase your fucking dream a million and ten percent!
Everything else is pretty self explanatory, I got to hear about the behind the scenes on how they filmed the Barely Human music video and who is the master behind the production of the music itself. I am so happy I nailed the vibe they were going for and they are definitely killing the game! I wish I could've talked to them more but it was already going on for a long time and I wanted to give them that time to recuperate and meet the rest of the fans before the night was over. Right after, I finally gathered my thoughts and they were super happy with how it went! I am so beyond proud of myself and grateful I was offered this opportunity because it was truly the most amazing night of my life. LYLVC was so welcoming and sweet that I felt so comfortable to talk with them. I ONLY WISH I TOOK A PHOTO WITH THEM! UGH! Now you guys won't believe me haha. But, anyways, I'm sorry I didn't do a whole recap, I really want you all to take a listen or read the subtitles on what went on and what we talked about. If you would like a more in depth statement about anything, please don't hesitate to comment on this article! I will gladly respond and give you any inside scoop I missed. Thank you to all the bands and LYLVC for allowing me to see your show and I hope you love the photos!
