Joey Valence & Brae "BUST DOWN" at Sold-Out Metro!
Though halfway through touring their third album, Joey Valence & Brae (aka JVB) show no signs of slowing down.
Fueled by their distinct, pop-culture-driven lyrics and alternative hip-hop beats, JVB is redefining expectations and pushing the boundaries of modern-day hip-hop.

If you've never stumbled across their work, they're certainly hard to miss. Their energy is infectious, and they drop lines in their songs that make you think, "Did they really just put that in a song?" And the answer is yes. They most certainly did.
Before I entered the show, Joey Valence & Brae set the record straight, listing their expectations for fans in an Instagram post before taking off for tour, stating:
"DANCING IS MANDATORY. SWEATING IS MANDATORY. MAKE A COOL OUTFIT. NO EGOS ALLOWED. LEARN THE SONGS. SCREAM THE LYRICS. NO VIP TICKETS. MAKE A FRIEND. LEAVE IT ALL ON THE FLOOR."
Well, they asked, and the crowd delivered.

Fans showed up AND out for their favorite artist- JVB!
The boys kicked off their show by performing the album's title track, “HYPERYOUTH,” sending the crowd into a frenzy.
The joy was palpable throughout the entire show- from both sides of the barricade.

The crowd danced and moshed like it was the last night of their lives.
As for Joey Valence & Brae, I can tell you, with absolute certainty, there is no other place on Earth that the two of them would rather be than up on stage performing their hearts out for their fans.

I couldn't tell you the last time I went to a show where the artists on stage were having that much fun. Their energy was INFECTIOUS, and it was seemingly impossible to watch without breaking a smile.
Their talent didn't go unmatched, with opener Chase USA- bringing the crowd off their feet from the get-go! The crowd seemed all too familiar with his songs as they sang along.

All in all, it was an incredible show, and I cannot WAIT to catch them live again.
There is still time to see them in concert- you can check out all of their remaining tour dates at their website, HERE.
