Jake Scott Captures the Hearts of Chicago

Jake Scott is an Arkansas-born singer-songwriter who blends indie and country influences to explore the complexities of the human heart. He connects with his audience through his heartfelt storytelling and open songwriting. While it has been over 3 years since his last headliner tour, his fans have been along side him through every step. He delivered an unforgettable performance as he was constantly interacting with the crowd in singing along and dancing away! While he does not have any new albums coming out, his debut album "Lavender" was a big hit on this tour! Check it out!

Jake Scott was joined by the lovely and beautiful MaRynn Taylor, who is a rising Americana/Alt Country artist from Nashville, Tennessee, known for her powerful vocals and heartfelt stories. She definitely captured my heart! Taylor had a very relatable song describing the current issue with younger generations as we feel we do not have enough time. Life should be in a different circumstance and we need to be in a specific point in our lives. Her song "Season 2 of Friends" describes this situation perfectly but how we are ONLY on Season 2 of Friends and shouldn't be in such a rush to be at a specific point in our lives. We only have one life to live, and we are all on different paths, maybe towards a life beyond our expectations. One song in particular I embraced was "same girl same", which described an incident where Taylor's ex showed up to one of her shows with his current partner. While many would've ignored it, she took it to another level and simply sang about it. It is now one of her top songs and I will say I applaud her wholeheartedly because same girl same.

MaRynn Taylor was truly one who SPARKLED on stage. She gave a big welcome and strong vocals! She loved to talk with the fans as she described why she wrote each song and if there was anyone who related to them. Taylor even had a small meet-n-greet after her set and I definitely took that opportunity. Lovely to have met you Taylor, it was an honor!

Jake Scott's songs are mainly based on his love for his wife, Rachel. He was very open about their relationship and how it flourished over time. Now most of his songs describe that type of love so many yearn for.

I suppose there were a lot of birthdays to celebrate as 5 fans expressed so. Jake was more than happy to celebrate along side them. Also in his last meet-n-greet from his past headline tour, one particular fan had him promise to sing "I Don't Miss You". Even though it was a little hard remembering the words, Jake fulfilled his promise and made this show extra special. THIS GOES OUT TO YOU SARAH!

Jake Scott's song "Tuesdays" was written over 10 years ago and never thought it would've taken off as it did. It became a hit for relationships and proposals even to this day it still radiates eternal love. Jake Scott has truly embraced the love he is experiencing as well as his love for his relationship with God to his fans as they too can experience. While the world can be cruel sometimes, it's always nice to embrace the positivity's in life and what music can do to many.
