HolyWatr brought elsewhere hall down to hell.
HOLYWATR concert WATR to WINE Tour in Brooklyn, NYC, at Elsewhere Hall. It was Tuesday, November 11th, and the weather was very cold, but HolyWatr brought the fire. I was so excited to see their performance, and I had just discovered them earlier this year because of the track “Give Me a Show.” It was wild, and I was hyped from the moment they took the stage; they didn’t disappoint me. I had an amazing time, and the band was so good that I’m going to see them again the next time they come to my city. But let me share a little story.
The excitement of the crowd was crazy, and I didn’t know they were that popular. The venue was on fire with young adults, and most of the female fans were in the front row. It was very wild that I dropped my phone while recording them live; the crowd consisted of younger people who didn’t really understand metal etiquette. They were pushing people into the stage, dropping those who were surfing, and people were surfing without their legs crossed and moving a lot, etc. As for me, being old and grumpy, I want to have space when taking photos of the band. LOL! That was a joke! Because there was no photo pit, it was very hard to get the angles that I wanted and like a said, I almost lost my phone. But personally, it wasn’t bad enough for me to consider it a bad time or to ruin the concert. I’m just concerned that someone could get seriously hurt if basic pit/crowd surfing rules aren’t followed.

The band setlist was a great mix of old and new tracks, with some surprises in between. The band tore through their discography, playing songs that showcased their technical skill and creativity. The guitar riffs were face-melting, the drums were pounding, and the bass was thumping – it was a sonic assault that left the crowd breathless. I was right up front, soaking it all in and loving every minute of it. The highlight was when Sirmisterholy (the band’s vocalist) went down to the crowd and jammed with them; the crowd got even more wild. It was fucking insane.

All in all, the HolyWatr show was a must-see for fans of heavy music. The band’s energy, technical skill, and enthusiasm made for an unforgettable experience. If you get the chance to see them live, don't hesitate - just go. You won't regret it.
