HANABIE. Proves Why They’re a Must-See Live Act in Chicago

Concert Reviews Apr 4, 2026

Chicago was ready for chaos, and HANABIE. delivered exactly that. From the moment I stepped into the venue, the energy in the room was impossible to ignore. Fans packed the floor shoulder to shoulder, many already pressed up against the barricade, eagerly waiting for the lights to drop. There was a real sense of anticipation building throughout the room, the kind that lets you know the night is about to be something special. As soon as the stage lights dimmed, the crowd erupted, and within seconds HANABIE. stormed the stage with the explosive energy they have become known for. The opening moments were pure adrenaline, with crushing riffs, vibrant stage presence, and a crowd that immediately fed off every second of it.

HANABIE. was joined by Enterprise Earth and Nekrogoblikon, and with artists like these on the bill, you knew the night was going to be more than just loud. It was set to be a nonstop wave of chaos, energy, and pure intensity from start to finish.

After the openers had fully set the tone for the night, HANABIE. was ready to take the stage to a fully warmed-up and hyped Chicago crowd. Fans of all ages packed the room, which speaks to how widely HANABIE.’s artistry connects with people. What stood out to me immediately was how vibrant the crowd looked, with colors you do not typically associate with a heavy metal show. From neon pinks that mirrored the band’s signature stage outfits to glowing lights reminiscent of what you would normally see at a K-pop concert, this show truly had it all. That contrast between crushing heaviness and vivid visual energy made their set feel even more mesmerizing from the moment they stepped on stage.

As this was my first time seeing HANABIE. live, I was genuinely taken back by just how much showmanship they brought to the stage. From the smaller moments, like taking selfies and sharing high-fives with the crowd, to actually stepping off the stage to hug a few fans, every part of the performance felt personal and unforgettable. I even had the chance to high-five one of the members myself, which was completely unexpected and such a pleasant surprise. It was one of those moments that instantly makes a live show feel even more special. I definitely left the venue a fan, with memories from that night I will not forget anytime soon. If you ever get the chance to catch one of their shows, do it, no questions asked. Do it. You will not regret it, I guarantee it.
