Guitar Solo's & Emotions With Zakk Wylde
On March 27th The Sylvee in Madison, WI hosted a night all about Ozzy and Zakk Wylde and I was there for it all. Zakk Sabbath, Ozzy tribute band, started off the night with crazy high energy, the crowd was ready! I've never had the privilege of seeing Ozzy on stage so I was excited to see them play, Zakk was Ozzy's guitar player for years and this show was the next best thing. From head banging, to playing his solos behind his head, it was like nothing else I've ever seen. It was a blast hearing all the classic Ozzy hits, Zakk and his band did a phenomenal job doing him justice.

After a quick set and kilt change, Black Label Society hit the stage with even more energy. Over the years I've heard how amazing Zakk Wylde was on the guitar but had no idea until I witnessed it for myself in person. His love and passion really shows with every stroke of the guitar. I love that he has more of an old school approach to playing, reminds me of the 70's and 80's guitar playing. I was so caught up in the moment but I'm pretty sure I heard more guitar solo's then I did singing, it was phenomenal! His stage presence was definitely for the crowd, and I would like to think for the media too, he even showed me his guitar at one point!

The last song of the night was the debut of their latest song, a heart felt tribute to the late, great Ozzy Osbourne called "Ozzy's Song". Milwaukee got the privilege of being the first ones to hear that song played live! It was beautiful, the screen behind the band changed to a collage of Ozzy photos over the years, it was very touching to see. If I ever get the chance to see Black Label Society again, you'll find me back in the crowd!
