Full house at the House of Blues Chicago with Bad Suns on their headlining "Accelerator" Tour

As the days get shorter and the nights get cooler here in Chicago, Bad Suns brought the HEAT for one more night - at the legendary House of Blues Chicago on October 4, 2025. The band, which was formed in the early 2010's - in my home state of California - debuted their first album ("Language & Perspective") in mid-2014. Right out of the gate, let's mention how big of a success this show was! Over the last few weeks, it has felt like there have been less and less people at recent shows, but even though I arrived early, the crowd very quickly continued growing. It was nearly a fully packed house by the time the supporting artist [Joe P] came on stage. By the time Bad Suns was due to come out, I couldn't see the end of the sea of heads. I imagine that people must have been holding onto the railing while standing on the stairs.

Bad Suns definitely knows how to put on an interesting and exciting show! They had everyone jumping as they performed songs like "Cardiac Arrest" (from their debut album) - a song which equates the feeling of going through cardiac arrest to the sensation you feel when you kiss that person who you have passionate feelings for - and then they had everyone take their phones out to try and have everyone play "Communicating" all at the same time to "overpower the in-house speakers," which is a song from their most recent "Accelerator" album. It should be no surprise that this didn't work, but it definitely brought everyone together to really be in the moment.
Again, I have nothing but great things to say about Bad Suns. And, as fellow Californians, I cannot wait to see how much more they progress. They bring a lot of amazing hooks, musically and literarily, that just keeps you listening. Their alt-pop sound definitely shines through - which keeps you moving and grooving until the very last chord.
They have a few last stops on their US "Accelerator" tour - ultimately ending it all off in Los Angeles, CA on 10/17. If you have caught them - or plan on catching them - on one of their stops, let us know what you thought and/or what you're looking forward to the most!
