Ashes to new Made a visit to Chicago for their New Disease Tour, With heavy hitters Magnolia Park, Until i wake and Not enough space.
On Thursday October 9th, From ashes to new came to Chicago's House of Blues, This tour frontman Matt Brandyberry shared, “We may even have to break out a few new songs and a whole new vibe. The next chapter is almost here and we are beyond ready to share it with everyone.”
In fact, they did more than share new music.
We were invited to cover the up and coming titans, Magnolia Park, I had the opportunity to first see them live back in 2024 at Riot Fest. I was really impressed back then, I knew tonight was definitely going to be a treat.
From start to finish magnolia park brought the heat, from wicked riffs to soulful singing, they have definitely changed since 2024. Change is not the right word But evolved! The perfect way to open up for the main event.... From Ashes to New!
From Ashes to new came in ready for Chicago. From the get go they opened up with Their latest track "New Diseases".
Chicago did not stop moving to what seemed like all night. What i loved the most was how Guitarist Lance Dowdle sending Guitar picks into the crowd after every song. A small touch to what is a simple gesture to him could mean everything for the fan that catches it. This is what i really enjoyed about the concert. The whole band gave off a sense of genuine appreciation for the fans.
From ashes to new was definitely a show i will remember, a band that i was actually hearing for the first time but left an impression. I left that night with a few new additions to my playlist.
