FIT FOR A KING “The Lonely God Tour” with Make Them Suffer, Spite and 156/Silence

Wednesday November 26, Fit For A King were scheduled to break NYC down for their “The Lonely God Tour” with Make Them Suffer, Spite and 156/Silence in the Heart of the city at The Palladium Time Square. And again, I’m the only photographer in the pit aside from the bands tour media person. And it was crazy to think knowing I’m in New York City and there are a tons of concert photographers in the area.

156/Silence brought their intense sound, the night was a high energy performance, with the band delivering a mix of heavy riffs, pounding drums, and with Jack Murray haunting vocals. Young adults was fully engaged, moshing and headbanging to the music. The band's setlist seemed to balance older and newer tracks, showcasing their musical progression and depth. Despite the lack of widespread recognition, based on my knowledge, they tore down the stage to open the nights. 156/silence proved themselves to be a force to be reckoned with on stage, commanding the attention of the audience with their raw energy and musical prowess. If you're a fan of heavy metal, 156/silence is definitely a band worth keeping an eye on.

Next up was SPITE, another band that I never heard of from Southern California. However, their performance was a standout - with the crowd feeding off their intense stage presence. As a metal band, they delivered a heavy setlist that got the audience moshing and headbanging.

Darius Tehrani, the band vocalist was insane, his stage presence caught my attention, the headbangs were pretty intense. Although specific details about their setlist and performance aren't readily available, fans who attended the event praised the energy and enthusiasm of the band. New Yorkers who were at the concert seemed to enjoy the performance, given the energetic nature; it's likely the concert was a hit with the crowd.

The next act to take the stage was MAKE THEM SUFFER, an Australian metalcore band that has been captivating audiences since their formation in 2008. Renowned for their unique fusion of symphonic, melodic, and extreme musical elements, they truly stand out in the genre.

There’s a noticeable difference between good and exceptional, and MAKE THEM SUFFER exemplify professionalism at its finest. Experiencing them live for the first time left me genuinely impressed by their tight performance. It’s remarkable to witness the culmination of years of hard work and dedication in their craft; it feels like a privilege to be part of that experience.

FIT FOR A KING took the stage to close the curtain. First and foremost, the band electrified the city of New York. They kicked off the show with intensity.

This show was my introduction to them, so I didn't really know what to expect. Their vocalist Ryan Kirby has an insane energy. Special shout-out to these guys; you have a new fan for sure. While I’m certainly of an age where I could join the pit to mosh and crowd surf, I opted for a different approach this time. Carrying my camera posed some challenges, as I often found myself being either shielded or jostled by enthusiastic fans. Nevertheless, it was an incredible experience. I’m grateful to those who welcomed me into the fray, unafraid to collide with me and enhance my participation without any serious mishaps. The energy of the crowd truly made my night unforgettable!

This show was one of the most cohesive tour packages i've seen in a while. 10/10, highly recommend catching any/all of these bands if you guys get the chance!
