Erin LeCount crosses the pond for her first US shows
On February 5th, 2026, we had alt-pop ICON, Erin LeCount pop into Chicago for her first stop on her first US tour – at Schuba’s. She was an absolute spectacle to behold; she was literally a 1-person band, at one point even sampling the crowd to create the first of her many loops. None of it was just for show either. Erin has the vocals to rival some of the other big names in the game, with her ability to maintain constant, prolonged notes.

The venue was packed to the brim with beautiful people - with beautiful outfits. As someone that was standing almost in the middle of the venue, I was able to hear the absolutely raw emotion in people’s voices as they sung their hearts out.. it is clear that Erin has made a big impact on so many people – people with their own problems – who just want to come out for a day and feel safe and loved. The warmth of the love, and a sold out Schuba's, kept us all warm that night.

It's often easy to forget that artists like Erin all started somewhere small, especially when you see them selling out venues, so it was shocking to hear how much self-doubt she had – and still feels. There’s something bittersweet about listening to individuals speak out about their own problems and fears. I think, at least for the time that we are surrounded by like-minded individuals, there’s some calm that washes over you knowing you’re not alone. It's not a nice feeling; it can feel hopeless at times, but seeing someone (Erin) work their way through it and persist - and succeed - is like a beacon of light in the dark.

Erin's performance and ethereal style, in that dark room, was quite literally like the lighthouse on the shore - the northern star to those who have lost their way.. a call to safety. For a few hour(s), you escape life and become one with her music. Erin wasn't just expressive, she found a way to animate the world around her.. maybe she just learned how to change her world - and let people in. Regardless, you can tell there is a shift in the atmosphere when Erin is around, and that's such a beautiful feeling.

A very big thank you to Erin and her team for having us be a part of her first test run, and first show, in the US. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for her - and all of the future shows that we can look forward to. I also wanted to shout-out Cosette for warming up the crowd with her high-energy, personable performance. As an artist and producer - and funny storyteller - I look forward to seeing her more often.
Lastly, a very big congratulations to Erin for her recent opportunity - supporting Lorde at the All Points East festival in East London!!
