A Night with Lacuna Coil in Chicago

Concert Reviews Apr 2, 2026

On March 29th Lacuna Coil made another stop in Chicago, this time at the Concord Music Hall, a new venue for me. As soon as I walked in I noticed the smaller, darker atmosphere, which I love! The first band of the night had just finished up and the crowd was already thickening. This would be my second time seeing Lacuna Coil, first time being almost a year ago in Chicago. I couldn't wait to see them again and up close.

As the lights went down, the anticipation from the crowd only grew stronger. The band teased the audience a bit, taking their time before coming out. Then, one member at a time, they slowly made their way onto the stage. As soon as the lights came up and Andrea kicked off the night, the entire crowd was already singing along. Once Christina did what she does best, the room absolutely erupted. Her vocals are incredible on the albums, but somehow even better in person. The energy from the band was nonstop, and at one point they even told the crowd to start jumping. I could feel the entire floor moving beneath me.

It was finally time to step back and enjoy the show for myself, and I couldn’t wait. There truly wasn’t a bad seat in the house, which is exactly why I love these smaller venues. I found a spot nice and close and had the best time taking in the rest of the performance. They even played an older song, “Scarecrow,” for the first time that night, and the entire crowd went wild. It’s definitely a fan favorite and one of mine as well.

As the show came to an end, or so we thought, the band walked off the stage for a bit... another perfect teaser. Then, all of a sudden, the lights came back on and they gave us a four-song encore. I love seeing them live. They always put on such a great show, and you can truly feel how much they love their fans. Until next time!
