"16 Candles" Turns 22 at the House of Blues Chicago!

16 Candles celebrated their 22nd Birthday with a bang! Covering the most iconic 80s songs accompanied by manic dancing, this show was truly a sight to behold. Fans got to experience such nostalgia and sing along to their favorite songs from their childhood or just loves songs from the 80s I don't judge. HAPPY BIRTHDAY 16 CANDLES!

I'm gonna keep it 100% honest, I was unfamiliar of the band. I am a big fan of the film and figured I would want to get into other genres/styles of music so I took a chance. Did I research? Nope, I googled their name at the last second and was both curious and scared on what I have just agreed to. Instantly, they were pumped and fired up and ready to dance the night away. Not once did I feel stressed on where to go the band, had amazing chemistry and angles all around. Even the band had a fun time with me taking photos, I couldn't help but smile and join in on the fun!

The bands infectious energy was going on throughout the entire venue and positive vibes. You can just tell how much they enjoy performing for their fans as well as interacting with them too. Mid set they called out all celebratory events that fans had so we can all be a part of their special day.

So I guess to wrap everything, while I had no idea what to expect it actually became something super inspiring and really allowed me to enjoy the moment. I will say this was the most interactive crowd I've ever been a part of. Well to be fair everyone pretty much thought I worked at the venue but HEY a wins a win:) If you are thinking of shifting bands to try things out, I highly recommend it! You truly never know what you're gonna get and you might find a new favorite!
